What is the first thing you do when you wake up in the morning?

Snuggle my husband + children in bed. I love how both my kids fall asleep in their own beds but sure enough, like clockwork, every night come wandering into our bed. And it's a joy to see their faces first thing in the morning.
How do you approach getting dressed?
I need to feel comfortable and chic. I reach for pieces I know I'll want to wear all day, even if I'm just working from home. I elevate my looks by adding dressed up accessories, e.g., coats, hats, purses and jewelry to give my outfits a more polished and chic vibe while still having a comfy base.
 
Do you collect anything?
I fear I have too many collections hehe but here are a few :) Over the years I have started collecting match boxes from our travels. I leave them in little decor dishes around our home. On our recent family trip to London, I found these darling mini London match boxes that I can't wait to unwrap and add to the collection. I also collect textile wrapping paper and analog photo booth film strips of my family from our travels.
 
What makes you confident?
Wearing very little make up + fancy jewelry– together.
 
Share your ideal day, start to finish.
My family are abroad in an old European town. We wake up and have a yummy breakfast– I get ready in our room while Brad takes the kids out. We meet up and explore the city, trying different bakeries and yummy restaurants. We stumble upon amazing shops and parks. After a yummy dinner we head back to our hotel where we all watch a movie in bed and fall asleep together.
 
If you could pass down one "heirloom" which would it be?
My wedding band. It is a simple gold band of 12 small diamonds and I would love nothing more than to see one of my children or grandchildren wear it as their own. 
 
What ER pieces are you wearing? 
Here I am wearing the Sienna Striped Crew. I knew this knit would be dreamy the moment I laid eyes on it... It truly surpassed all my expectations. It has all the qualities I seek in a staple piece to enhance my wardrobe– quality, comfort, silhouette. I love how I can throw on the Sienna with a pair of jeans or dress it up with fancy tights and a skirt. I have been wearing it on repeat since I got it– its versatility is endless.
 
Next, I am wearing the Bower Pleated Skirt in Midnight Tartan paired with the Pointelle Henley Tee and, when stepping outside, I added the Cedar Swing Jacket in Field Wash to complete the look. I love how all three of these pieces can be worn together for a beautiful look but also can be worn as separates and still stand out for themselves as timeless, stunning pieces.
 
What is the last thing you do before going to bed at night?
Before bed, I do one of two things. Either open the historical fiction novel I'm currently and read a few chapters before bed (I'm a big history nerd). Or I stretch and do breath work. I find both of these help me to turn off my mind and prep for a good night's rest.
